Visual Fault Locator

A Visual Fault Locator is a red laser that injects visible light into an optical fiber. If a fiber has a faulty connector as well as some types of damage including breaks, sharp bends or faults; the laser will highlight the area that is damaged as the light leaks out. They are also used to test continuity and they are used for fiber identification within patch panels and splice enclosures
